I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a clinical supervisor at Wildflower. As a psychotherapist, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is essential to the healing process. The opportunity to share your story, in a safe, non-judgmental, supportive environment, where you feel heard, is powerful medicine. Using a person-centered approach, I seek to support and empower my clients in finding their voice and putting the pieces together, build upon their strengths, and learn tools to cope with the challenges of life. I work with individuals, groups, children, and families. My areas of focus include: anxiety and depression, grief and loss, life transitions, addictions, dual diagnosis, trauma, self-esteem, and parenting. I utilize a person-centered approach, often incorporating metaphor and humor. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from Mills College, and my Master’s degree is from National-Louis University in Addictions Studies. I am also a certified alcohol/other drug counselor (CADC). I have extensive training in mood disorders, and trauma. I draw from a variety of clinical approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Family Systems; in addition, I call on my background in Child Development.
