Choosing the right therapist during pregnancy, postpartum, or early parenthood matters. Maternal mental health is not a side focus at Wildflower, it is at the heart of who we are. For over a decade, we have built a practice grounded in specialized training, advocacy, and a deep respect for the complexity of this season of life. Today, we are sharing more about why we provide the most compassionate, ethical, and attuned care to maternal mental health populations.
1. Maternal Mental Health Is Our Identity
At Wildflower, this work isn’t an add-on or niche, it’s our foundation. Since opening our doors 11 years ago, we have consistently centered maternal mental health in everything we do, ensuring care that is informed, attuned, and responsive to the realities of pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, loss, and early parenthood.
2. Proudly Women-Owned and Values-Driven
Wildflower was founded and built by women with a deep commitment to supporting other women, birthing people, and families. Our leadership reflects the populations we serve, and our values are rooted in empowerment, compassion, and respect for lived experience.
3. Over a Decade of Specialized Experience
From pregnancy and postpartum mental health to infertility, perinatal loss, PMADs, women’s mental health, and sex therapy, our clinicians bring years of focused experience to this work. We understand how layered and vulnerable this season can be, and we meet you there.
4. Certified Perinatal Mental Health Experts
Expertise matters. More than 25 Wildflower therapists hold Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). Our entire management team and all supervisors are PMH-C certified, and the remainder of our clinicians are actively pursuing certification. This ensures care grounded in best practices and the latest research.
5. Training the Next Generation of Therapists
We are honored to be an official provider of Postpartum Support International continuing education units. By helping train future perinatal therapists, we contribute to expanding access to high-quality maternal mental health care far beyond our own practice.
6. A Commitment to Ongoing Learning
Learning never stops at Wildflower. Our team regularly presents at universities, workplaces, nonprofit organizations, and mental health practices. This commitment keeps our clinicians engaged, current, and continually refining the care we offer.
7. Advocates as Well as Clinicians
We believe that our work doesn’t stop at the end of the therapy session. Wildflower actively advocates for maternal mental health, working to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and improve access to compassionate, evidence-based support for families.
8. Support Beyond Therapy—Designed for Busy Lives
We know that families need support beyond psychotherapy. In addition to individual, couples, and family therapy, we offer educational workshops, support groups, and parent coaching to meet a range of needs.
9. Simple Online Scheduling—Making Therapy Accessible
With simple online scheduling, connecting with care is designed to feel as seamless as possible, because we know how full life can be.
