As a psychotherapist, I am constantly humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to support those who are looking to create and achieve positive, sustainable change in their lives, to find purpose, and to get back to a life full of meaning. I believe in the inherent worth of each and every individual. I see the resilience and courage that it takes to face life’s challenges and to engage in self-reflection and exploration. I believe that out of struggle comes strength, growth, and acceptance, and I aim to promote these inner resources as I unconditionally support you in accomplishing your goals. I enjoy working collaboratively and flexibly with my clients to meet their needs and to accomplish their goals, taking the time to build a genuine relationship, which I believe is the foundation and beating heart of successful and sustainable change. I use compassion, humor, and empathy to create a warm, nurturing environment and trusting partnership where together we can explore the hardships that life brings. I take an active approach, gently challenging and providing perspective with kind curiosity and understanding, to support clients in moving closer to the life they want to lead. I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be seen and heard and to be met where they are at, and I seek to create an atmosphere of safety and unconditional acceptance to achieve this. I integrate evidence-based practices and coping skills to support my clients in feeling empowered and grounded along their journey towards meaningful change. It is a deeply fulfilling privilege to be a member of Wildflower’s Supervisory Team in addition to providing psychotherapy services to my clients. Supervision was an invaluable experience for me, and it is my honor and goal to be able to provide the same for other emerging clinicians. As a supervisor, I aim to provide guidance and support, all the while promoting my supervisees’ inner resources and intuitions as they grow their professional identities. I am drawn to taking a holistic approach as a supervisor, providing care, respect, and compassion as I take into account the individual and ever-evolving changes as my supervisee continues to develop— meeting them where they are at in their professional journey. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Criminal Justice from University of Wisconsin-Madison and received my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. I have provided both individual, couples, and group therapy to those facing a diverse range of concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I am trained in treating mood and anxiety disorders using evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI), along with compassion- and mindfulness-based techniques, and really enjoy working with anxiety-related disorders, men, as well as clients transitioning to parenthood.
