As a co-founder of Wildflower Center for Emotional Health, I lead with authenticity, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to our mission of delivering compassionate, ethical, and clinically sound mental health services. In my role, I not only guide the strategic direction of our practice but also ensure that our team has the resources and support necessary to provide the highest standard of care. Through collaboration, open communication, and a shared vision, I work alongside our talented staff to create a space where healing and personal growth flourish, and where both clients and team members feel supported, valued, and empowered.
With over 15 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I specialize in perinatal and reproductive mental health, trauma therapy, sex therapy, relationship distress, and mood and anxiety disorders. I am an AASECT-certified sex therapist supervisor (CST-S) and a certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C), and I am trained in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
The greatest lessons in my career have come from my clients—their stories, their wisdom, and their resilience. It’s an honor to walk alongside individuals during some of their toughest moments and support them in their journey toward greater mental health and well-being. I firmly believe that everyone has the capacity to thrive, even in the face of hardship. My work is about helping clients reconnect with their inner strengths, which often become obscured by stress and self-doubt. I am also passionate about the power of connection. While our culture often promotes independence and self-reliance, I’m convinced that real healing happens in community—through deep, supportive relationships that provide the emotional resources necessary for growth.
My commitment to Wildflower’s educational and advocacy mission is a cornerstone of my professional identity. I have had the privilege of training healthcare providers, mental health professionals, and community organizations on the complexities of women’s and maternal mental health, trauma, and sexuality. I’m dedicated to breaking down the myths and barriers surrounding these often misunderstood topics, and I’ve had the pleasure of presenting at notable conferences including the North American Society for Psychosocial Obstetrics and Gynecology Biennial Meeting, the Postpartum Support International Conference, and March of Dimes. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Chicago and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.
I have led support groups, workshops, and lectures across diverse settings, from community mental health centers to hospitals, and I write on mental health topics both online and in print. I also provide clinical consultation and supervision to other psychotherapists, offering tools and insights to enhance their ability to support their own clients. As an AASECT certified sex therapist supervisor, I provide clinical supervision to clinicians who are pursuing their sex therapy certification.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me outdoors with my husband, two sons, and our dog Lulu. Nature is an important source of inspiration and meaning for me. Travel is another: I’m always either dreaming about or planning for next trip.
Above all, I’m deeply grateful for the privilege of doing the work I love—helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s most challenging moments and find healing, growth, and resilience.
