I believe that therapeutic growth begins with cultivating a genuine, collaborative relationship clients feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to. Therapy can be a space for you to explore your inner and outer worlds and gain insight into their emotions, early familial relationships, challenging patterns, current relationships with others, or desires for change. I use an integrative approach tailored to each individual – I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I have been trained in psychodynamic, relational, liberation psychology, and parts work, and draw from evidence-based interventions such as DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
My therapeutic style is warm, non-judgmental, and curious. I hold space for laughter in session, for quiet, and for untangling multiplicity and contradictions within a client’s experience. I see my role as a therapist as someone who can hold nuance and uncertainty, can encourage sitting with discomfort, as a listener, and as an active facilitator for clients to explore themselves and their relationships with others. I am deeply committed to attuning to the ways systems of oppression impact a client’s life and well-being.
I offer virtual and in-person therapy to couples, family systems, and individual adolescents and adults who may have experienced trauma, life transitions (ex, parenthood, loss), are navigating difficulties related to sex or intimacy, or experience anxiety or depression. I am committed to offering sex, kink, and poly-affirming services and have experience working within the queer community. I have extensive experience working with clients who experience symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, or are navigating challenges in their intimate relationships.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault as well as high school students. I received a BA in Anthropology with a concentration in Latin American Studies and a Master’s in Social Work from Smith School for Social Work. I have trained with The Josselyn Center as well as What’s Up Wellness in Northern California.
