As a therapist, I believe in your right to self-determination and autonomy in the therapeutic process. I feel that my clients are experts on their own experiences and I feel privileged to be trusted with their stories and histories. I approach therapy from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental perspective to create a space of collaboration and growth.
My clinical areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, complex family trauma, attachment, perinatal mental health, couples psychotherapy and supporting LGBTQIA+ people. As a Perinatal Mental Health Certified Clinician (PMH-C), I have experience supporting individuals and couples experiencing perinatal loss, infertility, NICU parenting and postpartum mood/anxiety disorders. I am a Gottman Level One certified therapist, which I utilize to support couples in navigating communication, conflict, connection and attachment. I draw from frameworks of radical feminism and liberation psychology in my practice to acknowledge and explore systems of oppression.
I am extensively trained in and draw upon a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), The Gottman Method and Psychodynamic Therapy. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in human development and family science from Syracuse University and my master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California. Before joining Wildflower, I was a therapist at an outpatient community mental agency in Los Angeles supporting children, adolescents, and adults struggling with trauma, suicidality, homelessness, mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work directly with LGBTQIA+ parents and families (who resemble my own) in a non-profit setting as well as supporting individuals through abortion in a healthcare setting.
As your therapist, I hope to offer you a safe space for authenticity, acceptance, exploration and healing.
