(she/her)

I believe in acknowledging and honoring the yet untold stories of our lives, especially the messy and imperfect parts. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 15 years of experience as a therapist and clinical supervisor. I will work alongside you to explore your lived experiences, identify recurring themes, and understand the patterns that have shaped your life, moving towards insight and meaningful change. I collaborate with clients to discover and develop their innate abilities, strengths, and resilience- together creating practical coping skills that can be used in everyday life, not just in sessions.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, using relational, strengths-based, and feminist frameworks, as well as incorporating Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Narrative, Mindfulness Based, and Psychodynamic interventions.  I view therapy through an intersectional lens, recognizing that significant life events are deeply impacted by the identities we hold, as well as external systems of power, privilege, and oppression. I strongly believe in anti-racist, non-carceral, LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally responsive practice.

Some of my areas of clinical specialty include anxiety (especially social anxiety), trauma, depression, suicidality, identity exploration, life transitions, perfectionism and burnout, family dynamics/conflict, substance use concerns, chronic health issues, and emotional regulation.  I am also extremely passionate about working with neurodivergent clients who are managing the pressures and expectations that come with navigating a neurotypical world. I particularly enjoy providing guidance and support related to executive functioning and adult ADHD. As I have worked extensively in the world of higher education, I am also especially attuned to working with university students of all ages. I have experience working with students who may be facing academic challenges or struggling to balance multiple responsibilities, who need support around adjustment to college life, those studying the creative arts, students who are enrolled in rigorous programs such as medical school or doctoral studies, as well as many other concerns. In addition, I am actively pursuing specialized training in perinatal mental health. I believe that reproductive health in general, and specifically mental health challenges related to fertility, pregnancy, the post-partum period, the transition to parenthood, and perimenopause/menopause are often not fully understood or truly seen. I am honored to support clients as they navigate any of these emotionally complex journeys.

My style is very informal, warm, and validating. I bring my genuine self to our therapy sessions, and I hope to offer you a space where you feel comfortable to show up exactly as you are. I’m committed to creating a safe environment in which I can sit with you through even the most difficult or intense emotions. At the same time, I also find it important to celebrate your joys and accomplishments with you, and to find humor and light in life’s surprises and absurdities.

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in many diverse settings- including intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services, programs for women who are unhoused, substance use/dual diagnosis programs, and programs for LGBTQIA+ youth. Most recently, I worked in various university counseling centers, providing individual/group therapy and supervision, developing programming and outreach, and delivering suicide prevention training for students, staff, and faculty. I also have extensive experience as a clinical supervisor for community treatment teams, therapists in training, and early career clinicians. I truly love connecting with people from various backgrounds, in different phases of life, and with unique life stories!

Key Beliefs

  • Good therapy starts with connection. Tell me about your pets, the show or book series you’re binging, your niche hobbies, or anything else- I’m here for it!
  • It’s ok to be sensitive, to feel things deeply, and to care a lot.
  • Change begins with just one, tiny step-let’s walk forward together.

More About Me

  • I have two cats- Bea, a calm, unbothered angel, and Kedzie, an adorable agent of chaos.
  • I love interior design and decorating, and I could happily spend all day antique shopping for cool vintage décor.
  • I started taking dance classes several years ago when I was experiencing a stressful time in life and needed a creative outlet, and I never looked back! I’m still crossing my fingers that I’ll be discovered, but in the meantime, dancing brings me so much joy.
