Change can bring both clarity and confusion, and therapy is a space to slow down and make sense of it all. As a psychotherapist, my intention is to offer a space that feels steady and genuine where you can explore what you need and reconnect with yourself without the pressure to have it all figured out. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families who are navigating life’s many transitions — from the early stages of parenthood to the complex experiences that can accompany reproductive health, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and relationships.
Much of my work explores relationship and codependency dynamics, the impact of betrayal trauma, and how past experiences shape present emotions, patterns, and ways of relating to others. Through this process, I help clients make sense of their emotions, understand what their mind and body are communicating, and begin to create change that feels real and lasting. It’s about noticing what’s been hard to carry, understanding the patterns that keep you stuck, and finding your way back to balance and self-trust.
In therapy, I value genuine connection. I want the space we create to feel collaborative and real- a place where you can explore your experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic and relational frameworks. I often bring in mindfulness and body awareness to help clients notice how their emotions live in the body and how that awareness can guide healing. I strive to help clients move beyond survival mode and into a space that feels more grounded, intentional, and aligned with who they are.
Before joining Wildflower, I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University and am currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. My clinical background includes working in inpatient care, private practice, and higher education, where I’ve supported individuals, families, and groups through crisis stabilization, mood disorders, life transitions, identity exploration, relational challenges, and chronic stress. These experiences have shaped the way I show up in the therapy room- grounded, curious, and deeply respectful of each person’s unique story. I have presented at national and international conferences on wellness and racial justice, and I have training in Polyvagal Theory, which enhances my understanding of how awareness of the body’s responses can foster safety, regulation, and meaningful change.
