Sara Rashid, MA, LCPC

Sara Rashid is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and staff therapist at Wildflower Center for Emotional Health. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Marquette University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School with a specialization in Health Psychology. She completed her graduate practicum in the psychiatric inpatient and intensive outpatient programs at Saint Joseph Hospital.

Sara has received training in Trauma-Informed Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gerontological Psychology and Harm Reduction substance use treatment. A member of Postpartum Support International, Sara has experience working with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, postpartum depression, ambivalence about pregnancy and/or parenthood, abortion, unplanned pregnancy and traumatic birth. Sara’s additional clinical interests include parenting challenges, anxiety, depression, work/life balance, body image and improving interpersonal relationships. Sara has experience doing group, couples and individual therapy, and has a particular interest in creating and preserving the emotional health of people who are caregivers, both personal and professional. 

Sara has worked with clients from widely diverse backgrounds and believes that collaborative, open-minded, accepting, genuine relationships are the foundation of productive therapy.
