Megan Wales, MS, LCPC



Megan Wales is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and therapist at Wildflower Center for Emotional Health. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Miami University and her Master's degree in Counseling and Counselor Education from Indiana University. 
Megan has experience in working with adults, teens, couples, families, and groups. Her specialty areas include depression, anxiety, work-life balance, and relationship issues. In particular, she is passionate about helping women and couples who are struggling with infertility and other issues related to reproductive cycle. She also supports adolescents and young adults in finding their authentic voice and direction.
Megan has specific training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Brief Strategic Family Therapy.  She enjoys using mindfulness exercises and encourages clients to use mindfulness outside of the therapy room. She has sought out specialized training in perinatal mental health and uses evidence-based methods to help women find relief from pregnancy and postpartum mental health disorders. Megan uses research-driven treatment models, but also places a great deal of importance in building a strong relationship with her clients to help encourage change.
Overall, Megan enjoys engaging people in psychotherapy by creating a safe, validating, and collaborative environment. Megan believes in taking the time to explore emotions and thoughts, while also providing people with tools to manage stress or specific symptoms. She enjoys identifying clients’ strengths to help elevate them and create confidence in their ability to better manage stress.
