Katie Hibey, MA, LCPC, CYT



Katie Hibey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and therapist at Wildflower Center for Emotional Health. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Ohio University and her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. 

Since obtaining her Masters degree, Katie has worked in private practice and higher levels of care with both adolescents and adults, serving as an individual, couples, family, and group therapist, as well as an intake coordinator. She has supported clients in addressing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, fertility health, interpersonal issues, relationship concerns, and work-life harmony. Katie is passionate about women’s health. She has received specialized training in perinatal mental health from Postpartum Support International. Katie also enjoys working with adolescents, emerging adults, and men who may be new to therapy.

In addition to her counseling background, Katie is a certified yoga instructor and, when appropriate, incorporates lessons from yoga into her work with clients. Since obtaining her certification, she has taught yoga at The University of Chicago, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Tejas Yoga, and the Union League Club of Chicago. Katie has also lead yoga workshops for New Trier High School, A Long Walk Home, Accenture, Pinterest, and

Katie approaches therapy authentically, aiming to cultivate a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment. In addition to exploring past experiences and patterns that may be contributing to current concerns, she uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based therapies to facilitate lasting change in the present.
