Untangling the mind-body connection: A physical approach to managing anxiety and cultivating self-compassion

4-week workshop series

This 4-week workshop series is intended to offer a unique approach to managing anxiety. At the start of each session, participants will practice basic yoga postures to tune into the physical body, as well as their mental state. The second portion of each workshop will entail an educational aspect, ranging from the science behind our emotions to how to effectively practice mindfulness to cultivating self-compassion. With an emphasis on the mind-body connection, this workshop series presents an opportunity to immediately put new information and tools into practice, both on and off the mat.

 

In this workshop, you will:

  • Gain an understanding of what 'mind-body connection' means
  • Tune into the body and more skillfully recognize cues of anxiety
  • Learn and practice readily accessible tools for managing anxiety, such as mindfulness and conscious breathing
  • Cultivate self-compassion and self-acceptance

Cost $160 for the full series or $50 per individual session
